A Missive from the Hill
Built as the town’s first grand residence, its red brick walls and stately silhouette once overlooked a thriving farming estate and welcomed scholars, dignitaries, and curious travellers alike. Today, more than a century later, the house remains a place where past and present meet, opening its doors to a new generation of artists, photographers, and storytellers who will shape the next chapter of its history.
The tastemakers salon
This spring marks the opening of The Carswell House as a dedicated setting for photography and creative work. To commemorate the season, we will host a small Creative Salon on May 3 — an invitation-led afternoon designed for photographers, filmmakers, artists, and visual tastemakers to experience the property in its natural state.
