The Gallery

Through the work of photographers and artists who have spent time within its rooms and grounds, The Carswell House is observed in changing light, seasons, and moments of quiet detail. Through their work, the house is also seen through the stories of those who have passed through it.

Taken together, these photographs reflect both the enduring presence of the house and the creative interpretations it continues to inspire.

A house seen through many eyes.

Captured during our inaugural Creative Salon on May 3, this gallery brings together imagery from photographers invited to experience and interpret The Carswell House in their own way. Accompanying the day were seasonal floral installations thoughtfully created by Baroque Blooms, adding softness, texture, and atmosphere throughout the home. A collection of perspectives, moments, and quiet observations that now form part of the house’s growing archive.

Heritage Bride
photo foundry

Inspired by the timeless elegance of Audrey Hepburn and the romance of a heritage bride, this editorial workshop brought together photographers for an immersive day of storytelling, artistry, and old-world charm. Set within the historic interiors and gardens of Carswell House, attendees explored a series of thoughtfully curated scenes featuring refined bridal fashion, heirloom details, abundant florals, and cinematic moments designed to inspire portfolio-worthy imagery.

Hosted by The Photo Foundry and creatively directed by Heirloom House Atelier & Productions, the experience featured Sonya Rae and Cedric Rumbold as our leading couple, with beauty by Alfortier, grooming by Alrick Verner, a bespoke veil by Sinders Bridal, menswear by Ragtime Vintage, florals by Baroque Bloom, and stationery by Adrian Makesit. The day was documented by Testament Films, with behind-the-scenes coverage by Homebody Agency.

Together, each creative partner helped bring the vision of a modern heritage romance to life. It was an ode to timeless love, graceful details, and the enduring beauty of classic bridal storytelling

Captured in the weeks leading up to her wedding, this engagement editorial follows Brittany Schofield as she prepared for one of life's most meaningful milestones.

Photographed by the exceptionally talented Koko King, the session featured a gown from Brittany's own bridal label, Bretagne Studio, with beauty by Waring Makeup. Set against the historic interiors and gardens of The Carswell House, the resulting collection is both timeless and deeply personal, celebrating anticipation, romance, and the beginning of a new chapter.

We were delighted to welcome Brittany, her now husband, and their creative team to the manor, and are honoured to have played a small part in preserving this special season of their story. We extend our warmest congratulations to the newlyweds and wish them every happiness in the years ahead.
