The Carswell Calendar brings together upcoming opportunities to experience and create at Carswell House.
Throughout the year, the property hosts a curated programme of seasonal mini sessions, photography workshops, creative content days, educational experiences, industry gatherings and special events developed in collaboration with photographers, artists and creative professionals.
This page is where you will find upcoming dates, newly announced experiences and booking information for events taking place at the House.
Each offering is designed a little differently, from intimate seasonal sessions to larger hosted workshops and immersive creative days, while remaining rooted in the character, history and atmosphere of Carswell House.
New events will continue to be added throughout the year.
Autumn & Thanksgiving seasonal mini sessions
October 6 to 8, 2026
For three days this October, Carswell House will open for photographers wishing to host their own autumn and Thanksgiving mini sessions within the property.
The Dining Room will be prepared with restrained seasonal styling, complemented by small decorative touches throughout select areas inside and outside the House. Designed for family, maternity, couples, children and seasonal portraiture, the setting pairs the warmth of autumn with the historic character of Carswell House for imagery that feels timeless rather than heavily themed.

Photographers may reserve either a half day or full day access period.
Half Day Access | $750 CAD
Morning: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Afternoon: 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM

The Dining Room will be prepared with seasonal Autumn and Thanksgiving styling, with small decorative details also placed throughout select areas inside and outside the House.
Photographers are responsible for their own client bookings, scheduling, communication and management throughout the reserved access period. Client arrivals must be staggered, with a maximum of 10 people on the property at one time.
All arrival, preparation, photography, client turnover, teardown and departure must take place within the reserved access period. Furniture movement, large props, installations, extensive styling, additional vendors or alterations to prepared spaces require prior approval.

Festive Seasonal
November 26 to 29, 2026
For four days this November, Carswell House will be dressed for the festive season and opened to photographers hosting their own seasonal mini sessions.
The Main Salon, Dining Room and Staircase will each offer a distinct setting for portraiture, styled with a restrained, old fashioned approach that complements the architecture and historic interiors of the House. Designed for families, couples, children and holiday portraiture, the experience offers photographers multiple settings within one cohesive seasonal world.
